The challenge

A top 3 global US bank was handed a 'yellow' rating for their CCAR stress testing results after not being able to demonstrate sufficient lineage of controls (and use of these controls) over the data flowing into key regulatory reports. They were given a year to remediate this. To do so, the client needed to rapidly identify and remediate the gaps they had in their current operating model, implement changes and train resources on these new ways of working.

The solution

The Holley Holland team led a review of the CCAR governance process and associated control points in order to design and implement a new operating model for CCAR compliance. A thorough analysis was conducted to identify the client's critical data elements and once these  had been verified they were highlighted in the data lineage flows. By leveraging an agile, fast paced and highly collaborative approach, Holley Holland were able to help the client move from 'yellow' to 'green' in under a year.
